Valerie Hauss-Smith is glad to be returning for her third year with Trinity Shakespeare! She is a native of France, where she was a founding member of Le Theatre de la Chimere. She has performed on professional stages on both sides of the Atlantic, and her American acting credits include Moliere, Ibsen, and Chekhov. Her directing career spans the past ten years, and she has focused on challenging pieces from Williams to Shakespeare. This summer, she will be returning for her tenth year as a director for Junior Players’ and Shakespeare Dallas’ summer co-production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Valerie obtained her B.F.A. in France and her Masters in America, and is now an adjunct drama professor at UNT and North Lake College. Valerie is also a teaching artist with Junior Players and Shakespeare Dallas, and a founder of VOXeffect with her dear friends Emily Scott Banks and Matthew Tomlanovich.
