Selmore Haines

Selmore Haines (Justice, Measure for Measure; Doctor/Mayor of London, Richard III) is delighted to make his acting debut with Trinity. He was most recently seen in Jubilee Theatre’s critically acclaimed one man show Thurgood. Mr. Haines has performed with Dallas Shakespeare Festival in Richard III and The Tempest. He spent nearly 30 years employed in the corporate arena and made the decision in 2013 to retire and pursue his passion for acting. Some of his other credits include roles in The Color Purple, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Miss Evers’ Boys, Court Martial at Fort Devens, The Wiz, House of Flowers, and Flyin’ West. Mr. Haines received the 2016 Irma P Hall Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical for his performance in Do You Hear What I Hear at Jubilee Theatre. He serves as production director for NIA Kids Center for the Performing Arts and earned a B.A. Degree in Theater from Austin College.
