David Coffee (Member of Actors Equity) David returns for his 8th season! He is the only actor to have appeared in all 16 productions (playing 20 roles)! In a career that began in 1968, David has experienced all arenas of performance (save the Circus). His work in Musical Theatre has been welcomed by audiences from Portland, Oregon to Portsmouth, New Hampshire (with long-time associations with Casa Manana, the Granbury Opera House and the North Shore Music Theatre). Honors include: named Artistic Associate with Trinity Shakespeare Festival, Trinity’s Service Award, multiple DFW Critics’ Forum Awards, Column Awards, Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards, Broadway.com Award, voted Best Actor by the readers of FW Weekly (2010 and 2011), a Tribute Evening given by the North Shore Music Theatre (as well as having their Green Room named in his honor) and the Elston Brooks Lifetime Achievement Award given by the Live Theatre League of Tarrant County. David’s ties to TCU remain strong. He earned his B.F.A. in Theatre in 1979 and his M.F.A. in Acting in 1982. He returned as a Guest Artist in 1992 to play Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof; and appeared as Frosh in the TCU Opera Studio production of Die Fledermaus. David also became a member of the Britain Society at TCU this past year by including the Trinity Shakespeare Festival in his estate plans.
