King Lear - 2015
William Shakespeare’s King Lear. The Summer of 2015 is your opportunity to see Shakespeare’s most heart wrenching story, perhaps his greatest story. King Lear is a tale of love and loss, of desolation and reconciliation. Trinity Shakespeare Festival favorite and Artistic Associate David Coffee has played Falstaff and Feste, and Polonius and Touchstone, and Caesar and Caliban. This summer he is King Lear, an aging monarch and father lost amongst hasty decisions, angry heirs and overwhelming desperation. King Lear is Shakespeare’s most towering achievement. This summer’s production will be directed by Trinity Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director T.J. Walsh who directed last year’s sumptuous The Tempest.
