David Coffee
David Coffee (Duncan, Doctor, Macbeth; Touchstone, As You Like It) is honored to return as a member of the Trinity Shakespeare Company. In previous seasons, David has been seen as Feste in TWELFTH NIGHT (Dallas/ Ft. Worth Critics Forum Award), Capulet in AROMEO AND JULIET, Polonius in HAMLET and Leonato in the award-winning MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Other Shakespearean roles include: the Porter in MACBETH, Antonio in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, Falstaff in THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR and Prospero in THE TEMPEST. In a career that spans 43 years, David has been involved in most arenas of performance (save Grand Opera and the Circus). For seven years, he led AMR. JACK DANIEL'S ORIGINAL SILVER CORNET BAND through performances in concert venues across the nation as well as radio and television broadcasts. In addition, his work in Musical Theatre has been welcomed by audiences across the country (with long-time associations with Casa Manana, Granbury Opera House and the North Shore Music Theatre). Honors include: an Independent Reviewers of New England Award for his Pellinore in CAMELOT at Boston's Shubert Theatre, a tribute evening given by the North Shore Music Theatre in honor of his appearance in over 40 productions in fifteen seasons at the Massachusetts theatre and being chosen as Best Actor by the readers of Fort Worth Weekly for 2010. David is a proud TCU two-timer. He received his BFA in Theatre in 1979 and his MFA in Acting in 1982. He is also a proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
